I'm a Nashville based composer, producer, songwriter and musician. I recently completed my second season as Executive Music Producer for the television show Nashville. This was following T Bone Burnette and Buddy Miller who previously held the position. I've produced over 125 cast recordings for Nashville and was also music producer for Greenleaf, also writing and producing the main title song performed by Mavis Staples. Recent work includes Patsy and Loretta for Sony Pictures, NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and Tell Me A Story for CBS.  I'm an Emmy-nominated writer whose songs have been featured in advertisements for BMW, Toyota, Target, L'Oreal, Coke and Microsoft and well as tv shows One Tree Hill, Drop Dead Diva, Hung, The White Queen, Homeland, Teen Wolf, Pretty Little Liars and Cougar Town.  I've played on over 300 major label albums, recording with a wide variety of artists including Taylor Swift, The Civil Wars, Kaleo, Keith Urban, Rodney Crowell, Shawn Mendes, Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow,  Megadeth and Joan Baez. I've arranged strings for Skillet, Blake Shelton, Francesca Battistelli and many others in addition to scoring short films and podcasts and orchestrating for respected German director Wem Winders.  I've produced Mikky Ekko, Kate Voegele, John Oates, The McCrary Sisters, and Buck Owens.

I am a guitarist, keyboardist, synth programmer, singer, songwriter and producer, formerly with iconic French band Air, as well as Mike Patton’s legendary Mr. Bungle, Fareed Haque's Garaj Mahal, The Grassy Knoll, and more. I currently play guitar with Humble Pie, The Cringe, Hundred Hounds, Jettatura, and my own Roto's Magic Act and Roto's Mad Mirrors. I've scored, played, and sung on hundreds of TV commercials, video games, and Internet trailers, and have MC'd events worldwide for corporations from Vivendi to American Express for the Song Division group. BUCK AE DOWN is a Los Angeles based multi-instrumentalist, producer, visual artist, and writer with a career spanning over 25 years in professional music. Beginning in the early 1990’s as the frontman for Caroline Records recording artists, COMBINE then later fronting the internationally renown 30 piece festival phenomenon MUTAYTOR in the 2000’s and then later as the founding member of Green Queen Music recording artists THE GENTLEMEN CALLERS of LOS ANGELES – Buck has been touring internationally and releasing music across the globe for over two and a half decades performing at several high profile festivals such as Glastonbury and Coachella. After writing and appearing on over a dozen records across his career, he embarked on a solo career in 2018 beginning with ALL THE WAY DOWN-his first fully-fledged solo release; a record which he not only produced and mastered himself in his own studio, but performed almost every instrument himself in the process. This also was the first vinyl release on his new label ALL THE WAY DOWN MUSIC. He followed up the following year with the album THE HEAVY WEIGHT AND THE LIFT, which was also released on the ATWD label on both vinyl and digital formats. In 2019, Combine performed its only reunion show in 25 years at the annual Veer Magazine Music Awards, where they were only the second band to be honored with Veer's Lifetime Achievement Award. Farnell is one of the most versatile trumpeters and educators in the region, playing straight-ahead jazz, funk, Latin music, soul, hip hop and more. In the last year, Newton toured with 3-time GRAMMY winner and award-winning Actress Jill Scott. Farnell has also performed with a who’s who of world-class artists including Stanton Moore, Dumpstaphunk, Big Sam Funky Nation, Preservation Hall, Stevie Wonder, Bootsy Collins, Karl Denson, Lettuce, the late keyboard icon George Duke and many others.

I'm on the creative team for a musical based on the life of opera Diva Marian Anderson, was the Music Director & Pianist for Summer: The Donna Summer Musical (2017-2018), pianist for Beyoncé’s 2016 Formation World Tour. I toured for years with Stevie Wonder, performing around the world. I can be seem in Stevie's DVD "Live At Last", "Twenty Feet From Stardom", and as keyboardist / vocalist for the new Arsenio Hall Show. My first album "Grateful" is available on most platforms. My new band, EnSPirits, will release our debut album in 2021.

I am a multi-style cellist, composer, videographer, and photographer originally from New York now based in Nashville, TN. With two classical music degrees under my belt and a wealth of experience improvising and writing my own music, I feel pretty comfortable in most musical settings, especially the Americana genres. When I'm not in the studio, I'm on the road with Country singer-songwriter Brandy Clark pretending that I'm an entire string section with a huge pedal board. I also have my own band called Oliver the Crow (whom NPR called an “inspired collaboration") and a string quartet called the Atwood Quartet. I've got a solo album coming out this fall with all my own compositions (also recorded right in my home!). Besides these current gigs, I've collaborated with trumpeter and composer Frank London of the Klezmatics and North Indian classical music tabla player Shawn Mativetsky. My playing can be heard on albums by bluegrass guitar virtuoso Billy Strings, the Call of Duty video game series, as well as dozens more major motion picture soundtracks and albums. My former folk duo, Bride & Groom, toured Canada and America extensively, growing a sizable audience. I use my wealth of musical experience in inform her work with other musicians in the realms of photography and videography. I have produced visual works for Sarah Jarosz, Molly Tuttle, Jillette Johnson, and more. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree and a Performer’s Certificate from Purchase College, State University of New York where I studied with Julia Lichten and a Master of Music degree from McGill University where I studied with Matt Haimovitz.

Tom Shemer is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer. He splits his time between touring the world as the guitarist of THE DAMN TRUTH and as a producer. Toms expertise are in the arrangement writing and producing realm. He began his musical life as a violinist, was classically trained and studied jazz guitar. Over the years he worked on countless projects, both as a songwriter and as a producer/mixer. Some artists include: The Damn Truth The space wizards Blue Statement The Sunset Drip Tom Collaborated with Juno award-winning producer Jean Massicotte and Worked alongside Tchad Blake and Bob Rock. Tom brings a vast wealth of musical knowledge to any project he works on and is known to be very thorough, creative and devoted to his work.

I am a drummer, percussionist and composer that has collaborated on more than 100 recordings as a guest artist, including the GRAMMY award winner Yo-Yo Ma and Friends, Songs of Joy and Peace and the GRAMMY nominated Fun Home. Most recently, I can be heard playing percussion on the movie soundtracks of Joker and Gemini Man. My ability to cross genres has allowed me to perform with the Saturday Night Live Band on NBC, The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, the Silk Road Ensemble and my own groups.

As a guitarist and bassist, I have had the privilege of touring with many bands and artists including Norah Jones, Daniel Johnston, Bedouine, Ben Kweller, Jonathan Wilson, The Redwalls and Alberta Cross as well as playing with members of The Grateful Dead and Phish. I've been playing music since I was four and there is nothing that I love more. Making music with people who are creative and strive to push themselves is something I will always crave. My favorite kind of music is made when talented musicians are using their intuition. This tends to happen in the first handful of takes. I like the spontaneity and the commitment to that moment. It's why I love working with tape (obviously this can happen in the digital world as well). In saying that, I'm always up for spending as much time necessary to get the right take. I am very experienced in digital comping and splicing tape. I've had the honor of working with a lot of different artists and am well-versed in many genres. I like learning new things and am always open to surprises that happen during recording. I enjoy helping artists with songwriting. If you're stuck on something, I'd love to add a fresh perspective for the song to take an interesting turn. I pride myself on bringing a friendly, open-minded and organized approach to my work. My main goal is to make it fun and to have the artist be psyched about their recording!
