Sound and its many forms (Music, Field Recordings, Comedy, Talk Radio, Podcasts, Lectures, Machine Noises, etc) have been a fascination for me since I was a young boy. Recording the world around me, writing songs and skits, and manipulating sounds have held my attention for most of my life. I've played in bands since I was a young teen, and eventually found minor success and much satisfaction, when I moved to Minneapolis, MN in 2002 and dove into the music scene there. I eventually met my bandmates and we formed a band called Estate. As a member of Estate, I have toured, released albums, eps, and remixes, and placed/licensed dozens of tracks to various television programs, and even film. During this time in Estate, I also began my career and a professional postproduction broadcast mix engineer, sound designer, and composer. Tirering of the advertising world, I changed paths to focus on my family, spirituality, and sustainability. To this end, we sold everything in Mpls and moved our family to rural northwest MN. We now live on an old 40-acre dairy farm in the mystical Leaf Mountains in beautiful Ottertail County. Our two daughters, three cats, two dogs, 30 chickens, and our beloved forested hills, form a small but wonderful world that my wife and I enjoy immensely. Music remains an integral part of my life, identity, and income. I produce using Ableton live (user since 2004 v2 I believe), guitars, basses, synths, and of course a wide palette of VST instruments, VST effects, and other digital goodies. I am interested in collaborations, work-for-hire composition, remixing, sound design (the SFX kind, post-production style), game audio using Unreal Engine 5 and Gamemaker Studio, podcast production and editing, and all-around audio shenanigans. With 30+ years in the business, working for and collaborating with a multitude of commercially successful artists, producers, DJs, film composers and advertising agencies, I am always looking for fresh projects that challenge my audiophile mind. In my own studio, I usually write & produce in Ableton Live, and record, mix and master in ProTools. Happy in either environment, I sometimes use both concurrently via Rewire. I did a *lot* of remixing in the 90s and 00s, and still enjoy doing so. Leftfield and experimental sound design have always been favourites of mine, as well as composing to picture. Composition for TV advertising in New York, and collaboration on a number of feature films with the named composers brought plenty of sound to picture experience, and I taught Audio Post Production at Full Sail, Orlando. I started mastering for a number of random projects a while back, and the constantly happy clients have push me to also offer this service. Try it out for yourself!

Lifetime musician, I’ve been mixing recordings and live shows since the late 90s. I mainly produce House, Hip Hop, RnB and Pop but have more mixing and mastering experience in Rock and Pop. My go tos for mixing are FabFilter, UAD, SoundToys and Waves plugins (some of my favourite are the 1176s, LA-2A, Pultec EQs, SSL Bus Compressor, etc.) and FabFilter ProQ. My mastering chain is a combination of FabFilter (Pro Q & Pro L) and analog emulations for tone. I provide a lower rate to work vocals into a premixed beat or instrumental. In college, I minored in creative writing and showcased my prowess by working for the school's paper and the literary magazine as a section and genre editor respectively. I have freelanced as a news reporter, and wrote for EDMTunes.com between 2012 and 2013, covering events and reviewing music. My musical journey began in 2002 with a jestful death metal band I started with my best friend called "Chaos Informed." I learned the trumpet, timbales, drums, and a bit of the piano between 2002-2008. But in 2009, FL Studio turned my world around, sparking my music production career. Dutch house remixes in 2010 of classic Deadmau5 and Skrillex songs garnered me some attention and led me to my first full album, "The Russian Lady Diaries," in 2012.
