Montreal, Canada
Splitting time as co-owner of Freq Shop Recording Studio as well as touring the globe as the drummer of The Damn Truth, my experience and knowledge spans nearly two decades as a professional musician, record producer and mixing engineer. I've made records with The Damn Truth, We Are Monroe, Olivier Couture, Mountain Dust, and Storry.
I've also worked alongside Juno-winning producer Jean Massicotte, Grammy-winning mixer Tchad Blake and rock legend David Bottril. As an engineer I approach record making with a focus on musicality, dynamics and feel, and can always be a hard hitting thunderstorm on drums. Betting on character and individuality, I always try to respect and maximize the distinct nature of the artists I work with.

Philadelphia, United States
My name is Cory Wilson aka FortuneWest. I'm a Philadelphia based producer and engineer who draws influence from all points of the musical spectrum.
I've worked in the music industry since graduating Drexel University's Music Industry Program in 2012. There I learned the recording, producing, and mixing skills to give my clients a competitive, industry-ready, sound for each project I take on,
I have worked in studios in Philly, NYC, and LA and have worked with industry legends such as Erykah Badu and Ms. Lauryn Hill.
I am as comfortable working on an indie rock band, to a top 40 pop production, to anywhere in between. I do so by taking the time to understand my client's vision and style.
Currently I own and operate my own production studio, perfect for vocal production, songwriting, mixing, and mastering.
So hit me up and we'll make your next record your best one ever!

Clarke’s fascination with recorded music started when his father asked him to record training seminars he was presenting for the Air Force Reserve. After Clarke finished editing his father’s speeches, he would record his favorite songs off the radio and practice editing those.
Clarke decided to pursue recording engineering and enrolled in Middle Tennessee State University. While in college, he continued playing music, pursued audio engineering and minored in business management. After graduation he immediately started working as a recording engineer and studio manager for the legendary music publishing company Cedarwood in Nashville, TN. Later he worked as a recording engineer at the Bennett House Studios where he worked with Neil Young, Amy Grant and Dion among others. Now an independent engineer, he has been a staple in Nashville studios working with the industry’s top producers, artists and musicians. Joan Baez, Martina McBride, Taylor Swift, Sara Evans, Marie Osmond, Dixie Chicks, Pam Tillis, Mark Chesnutt, The Band Perry, Blake Shelton, and Lady Antebellum have all been successful clients.
Over the span of his career, Clarke has earned three Grammy Awards, twenty #1 singles and ten #1 albums.

I have been playing bass most recently with Maggie Rogers since 2017.
As her musical director and band member we did a great deal to rearrange her songs to adapt them to the stage. With other artists such as Eden, Morgxn, Sasha Sloan, Neon Trees and many more.
I have been acting as musical director to help shape the arrangements, sound design, and programming of their live set. Bass is my primary instrument but analog synths and vintage gear is where my heart lives.

Malaga, Spain
I’m a professional singer and songwriter from New York City who’s moved all over the US and Europe, and I’m based in Malaga Spain. I’ve performed, recorded and/or written music with the likes of Ingrid Michaelson, Rachel Platten, Lizzie Grant (Lana Del Rey), The Kin, Gregory Alan Isakov, Lenny Kravitz, Brass Against, Kevin Garrett, and more. My album Other Man was produced by Mike Hedges (U2, The Cure) with help from a team of Grammy winning programmers, mixers, and string arrangers and was released worldwide by Filter Music Group (Milky Chance) in summer 2018. Singles from the album were on radio rotation in Germany, France and Italy, and the official music videos have been viewed nearly 200k time. My vocal performances have also been featured by NYC’s Brass Against and viewed over 1.5 million times.
My own compositions focus on vocal flexibility, tone, control, and harmonic support usually on either guitar or piano, and tend to be very soulful. But singing with other groups, I’ve gone from Americana to metal, even singing spot on renditions of Tool with Brass Against.
I was classically trained in trumpet by the associate principal player for the Philadelphia Orchestra while I studied music education at Temple University in the early 2000’s.
I currently reside in Malaga Spain where I work remotely with producers from NYC and Berlin (where I lived from 2014-2017), and occasional travel Europe to perform live shows either solo or with my band.

I founded Indie Band Guru over a decade ago for the pure love of music. My journey has taken me from musician to promoter to manager to booking agent to publicist to blogger to record label founder and even grabbed a degree from Berklee College of Music in Music Business along the way. The music business has been a passion for me for as long as I can remember.
IndieBandGuru.com is an online music magazine geared toward emerging independent artists–and their fans. They have featured everyone from festival headliners to bedroom rockers, providing a spotlight on great new music that needs to be heard.
A love was developed for discovering new music, writing reviews, and conducting interviews, but the real passion is helping propel unknown bands out of obscurity to a place where they can finally make a comfortable living within the new music industry.
My team at IndieBandGuru now provides Artist Development Management and Independent PR campaigns as well as writing services and coaching consultations. Getting your Press Kit in order is of utmost importance.

I am a guitarist, keyboardist, synth programmer, singer, songwriter and producer, formerly with iconic French band Air, as well as Mike Patton’s legendary Mr. Bungle, Fareed Haque's Garaj Mahal, The Grassy Knoll, and more. I currently play guitar with Humble Pie, The Cringe, Hundred Hounds, Jettatura, and my own Roto's Magic Act and Roto's Mad Mirrors. I've scored, played, and sung on hundreds of TV commercials, video games, and Internet trailers, and have MC'd events worldwide for corporations from Vivendi to American Express for the Song Division group.
Still, writing about music has been an equally key career cornerstone: the author of dozens of cover stories, I've been the Editor-in-Chief of Future Music Magazine, a Senior Editor at Guitar World, Guitar Player, and Remix Magazine, and I've written for Rolling Stone, Spin, JazzTimes, MOJO, and Acoustic Guitar, as well as top manufacturers including Universal Audio, Line 6, and Izotope, and I've created artist bios for labels including A&M, Rope-A-Dope, and Warner Brothers. Playing music and writing about music. The one always informs the other. Best, JR
