I was raised by a single mom/famous morning radio Dj of Top-40 hits, so I stared at the radio {3-yrs-old} instead of cartoons, to hear my mom's voice, being taught music of the late 80's and 90's, instilled into my brain the electronic sound of synth and pop. Today, I use all new modern pop sound, but that same synth and vocoding tools that people love and crave in their electronic familiarity. My only wish is to give more to those who listen to music. To give back that same passion that music brought to me at such a young age; that familiarity, that comfort that I craved as a young boy.

BUCK AE DOWN is a Los Angeles based multi-instrumentalist, producer, visual artist, and writer with a career spanning over 25 years in professional music. Beginning in the early 1990’s as the frontman for Caroline Records recording artists, COMBINE then later fronting the internationally renown 30 piece festival phenomenon MUTAYTOR in the 2000’s and then later as the founding member of Green Queen Music recording artists THE GENTLEMEN CALLERS of LOS ANGELES – Buck has been touring internationally and releasing music across the globe for over two and a half decades performing at several high profile festivals such as Glastonbury and Coachella. After writing and appearing on over a dozen records across his career, he embarked on a solo career in 2018 beginning with ALL THE WAY DOWN-his first fully-fledged solo release; a record which he not only produced and mastered himself in his own studio, but performed almost every instrument himself in the process. This also was the first vinyl release on his new label ALL THE WAY DOWN MUSIC. He followed up the following year with the album THE HEAVY WEIGHT AND THE LIFT, which was also released on the ATWD label on both vinyl and digital formats. In 2019, Combine performed its only reunion show in 25 years at the annual Veer Magazine Music Awards, where they were only the second band to be honored with Veer's Lifetime Achievement Award. I'm an audio/visual explorer, working with found footage, geometric shapes and textures to create live and recorded visual art. Musically, I've recorded and performed in a wide variety of styles including gospel, hip-hop, soul, techno, house, afro-beat, avant-garde jazz, ambient, to name a few. As a university trained musician, I studied Jazz Performance at University of Southern California and McGill University. I currently reside in Montreal, and tour internationally with Busty and the Bass. Additionally, I'm the Music Director for Frame Media, Inc., and founder of Florafone Records, where we pride ourselves on artist relations and strategy. My experience lies in both the sonic and visual realm, with a strong passion for creating powerful musical experiences.

I’m a freelance musician, composer, producer and arts manager based in Montreal and Ottawa, Canada. My main craft is performing and recording guitar. I’ve worked for more than three decades in the arts, as a musician, an educator, an author and an artist. I’ve worked on three records nominated for Juno awards; published multiple books with Bloomsbury and Oxford University Press, among other notable imprints, on the subject of popular music and record making, one of which currently resides in the Reading Room of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; and I even won a Governor General's medal in 2006, at only 28 years of age, for my PhD research in the area of record production and media ecology. Since then I’ve been an associate professor of popular music studies at Western University, in London (Ontario), teaching primarily songwriting and project paradigm record production. I have always been an avid fan (and maker) of collage. I’m totally fascinated by the weird brain states the medium provokes in viewers, as the obviously mass produced print ephemera of disposable consumer culture assembles to create totally new and unique visual experiences.
