The Canvas Group is a producer duo, Nic Gracia and Rob Marshall, based in San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. Hello all. My name is Ryan Sands. I'm a young, dynamic drummer from Connecticut with the aspirations of being one of the greats in modern Jazz music. As a musician, I prioritize feel, subtleties, and rhythm when I'm working. My style of play has led me to work with Phil Markowitz, Dominque Eade, and being a rotating member in the Christian Sands Trio. Currently mans the drum chair for the upcoming New York-based Free Improve collective, Altus, featuring David Adewumi, Isaac Levein, Neta Ranaan, and Nate Reising. For the last couple of years I've been leading my own trio, the Ryan Sands Trio, and this fall I'll be releasing my debut record, Standing on the Edge of Tomorrow.
