I’m a professional singer and songwriter from New York City who’s moved all over the US and Europe, and I’m based in Malaga Spain. I’ve performed, recorded and/or written music with the likes of Ingrid Michaelson, Rachel Platten, Lizzie Grant (Lana Del Rey), The Kin, Gregory Alan Isakov, Lenny Kravitz, Brass Against, Kevin Garrett, and more. My album Other Man was produced by Mike Hedges (U2, The Cure) with help from a team of Grammy winning programmers, mixers, and string arrangers and was released worldwide by Filter Music Group (Milky Chance) in summer 2018. Singles from the album were on radio rotation in Germany, France and Italy, and the official music videos have been viewed nearly 200k time. My vocal performances have also been featured by NYC’s Brass Against and viewed over 1.5 million times. My own compositions focus on vocal flexibility, tone, control, and harmonic support usually on either guitar or piano, and tend to be very soulful. But singing with other groups, I’ve gone from Americana to metal, even singing spot on renditions of Tool with Brass Against. I was classically trained in trumpet by the associate principal player for the Philadelphia Orchestra while I studied music education at Temple University in the early 2000’s. I currently reside in Malaga Spain where I work remotely with producers from NYC and Berlin (where I lived from 2014-2017), and occasional travel Europe to perform live shows either solo or with my band.

Sound and its many forms (Music, Field Recordings, Comedy, Talk Radio, Podcasts, Lectures, Machine Noises, etc) have been a fascination for me since I was a young boy. Recording the world around me, writing songs and skits, and manipulating sounds have held my attention for most of my life. I've played in bands since I was a young teen, and eventually found minor success and much satisfaction, when I moved to Minneapolis, MN in 2002 and dove into the music scene there. I eventually met my bandmates and we formed a band called Estate. As a member of Estate, I have toured, released albums, eps, and remixes, and placed/licensed dozens of tracks to various television programs, and even film. During this time in Estate, I also began my career and a professional postproduction broadcast mix engineer, sound designer, and composer. Tirering of the advertising world, I changed paths to focus on my family, spirituality, and sustainability. To this end, we sold everything in Mpls and moved our family to rural northwest MN. We now live on an old 40-acre dairy farm in the mystical Leaf Mountains in beautiful Ottertail County. Our two daughters, three cats, two dogs, 30 chickens, and our beloved forested hills, form a small but wonderful world that my wife and I enjoy immensely. Music remains an integral part of my life, identity, and income. I produce using Ableton live (user since 2004 v2 I believe), guitars, basses, synths, and of course a wide palette of VST instruments, VST effects, and other digital goodies. With 30+ years in the business, working for and collaborating with a multitude of commercially successful artists, producers, DJs, film composers and advertising agencies, I am always looking for fresh projects that challenge my audiophile mind. In my own studio, I usually write & produce in Ableton Live, and record, mix and master in ProTools. Happy in either environment, I sometimes use both concurrently via Rewire. I did a *lot* of remixing in the 90s and 00s, and still enjoy doing so. Leftfield and experimental sound design have always been favourites of mine, as well as composing to picture. Composition for TV advertising in New York, and collaboration on a number of feature films with the named composers brought plenty of sound to picture experience, and I taught Audio Post Production at Full Sail, Orlando. I started mastering for a number of random projects a while back, and the constantly happy clients have push me to also offer this service. Try it out for yourself!

I've been playing flute since 1997. I have several degrees in music performance, and I have recorded on countless projects. I've performed in the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Ottawa and Montreal's Jazz festivals, and the Marciac Jazz festival. I have a lot of experience in knowing in the moment what a song might need, and being able to come up with new ideas that suit the vibe of the song. I came up learning heavy metal and classic rock guitar solos on the flute, and kept working with that and eventually switched to jazz, with a focus in improvisation. I also learned the sax shortly after, and I am able to play tenor, alto, soprano and Baritone, even at the same time!! I've studied with some of the best saxophonists in the world, including David Binney, George Garzone, Donny McCaslin and Dave Liebman. I also play clarinet, keyboards and percussion. I came up in a rich musical background so I am able to perform and interpret in many different styles, from pop to rock, to reggae, to jazz, to hip hop to even techno. I love playing different styles and fusing them together. I'm looking forward to being able to work together and recording on your tracks!!!
