From learning from Dizzo at CM records, working side by side with The Mix King Steve Sola, Sam The Engineer kicking me out of his seat to teach me a thing or two, to sitting in with mixing guru simply known as Serge at Platinum Sounds, Hitz always found a way to work with some of the best when It came to mixing and mastering. I play lead guitar in The Dialogue, record and tour with GS Duo, and run production at Galestro Records. I'm on the creative team for a musical based on the life of opera Diva Marian Anderson, was the Music Director & Pianist for Summer: The Donna Summer Musical (2017-2018), pianist for Beyoncé’s 2016 Formation World Tour. I toured for years with Stevie Wonder, performing around the world. I can be seem in Stevie's DVD "Live At Last", "Twenty Feet From Stardom", and as keyboardist / vocalist for the new Arsenio Hall Show. My first album "Grateful" is available on most platforms. I'm an engineer, drummer and percussionist who's worked with the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra and The National Art Center Orchestra, Capital Brass Works, along with many other bands and ensembles. I made the move to Montreal as a drummer and audio engineer in 2011 and became a full-time freelancer. I've toured extensively throughout 2013, and since returning to Montreal I've been working mainly as a recording and mixing engineer. I had a chance to work on 2 Felix winning albums, with Alex Desilets, Windigo and Laurence Jalbert, Ma Route, and was recently recording engineer for the Juno and Canadian Folk Music Award-nominated album Hapax, by the band Oktopus (who I now play drums with). As for the genre of music that I work on, I don't necessarily decide that for myself, but it gets determined by the projects I get hired to work on. I like music that's been well-honed, and the importance of the genre for me is secondary to that. I find the music itself tells me where to take the sound, and by having good communication with the artist/s we can make sure we're thinking along the same lines, plus I get to learn what the artist hears/has in mind. When I do work on a new genre, I like to find new tricks that associate with that genre, but I also have a bag of my own tricks that I can bring to the table, which helps me bring a different light to a common sound.

20+ years ago, before there was Scar After Scar or Uvula, there was me in a room with a bunch of equipment I didn't know how to use. The result of that is Swerve For the Girl. Despite all it's flaws -- my crappy playing, producing, and singing -- these are some pretty cool little alternative/punk songs. Now, in addition to tearing up the punk clubs in the Pacific Northwest with my band, Uvula, I record, mix, and master analog sound of all types -- punk, rock, metal, alternative, indie, jazz, big band, orchestra, chorale, duets, quartets, etc. My goal is always to showcase the performance. I want to bring the performance to life in the most compelling way and strip all the unnecessary BS out of it. Think more Steve Albini and less Butch Vig, although I love them both. To date, I have recorded, mixed, and mastered over 60 albums and countless singles, and live sessions. Influences: Those before me who have elevated sucking to an art form...

I am a saxophone/piano player based in Leeds in the UK. I have toured extensively throughout the UK and on the continent, performing in a variety of styles. I am also highly proficient in transcribing and have a lot of experience in styles such as pop, jazz, soul, neo-soul and classical. I have arranged for bands and ensembles in most of these styles too, to a professional level. I am a multi-style cellist, composer, videographer, and photographer originally from New York now based in Nashville, TN. With two classical music degrees under my belt and a wealth of experience improvising and writing my own music, I feel pretty comfortable in most musical settings, especially the Americana genres. When I'm not in the studio, I'm on the road with Country singer-songwriter Brandy Clark pretending that I'm an entire string section with a huge pedal board. I also have my own band called Oliver the Crow (whom NPR called an “inspired collaboration") and a string quartet called the Atwood Quartet. I've got a solo album coming out this fall with all my own compositions (also recorded right in my home!). Besides these current gigs, I've collaborated with trumpeter and composer Frank London of the Klezmatics and North Indian classical music tabla player Shawn Mativetsky. My playing can be heard on albums by bluegrass guitar virtuoso Billy Strings, the Call of Duty video game series, as well as dozens more major motion picture soundtracks and albums. My former folk duo, Bride & Groom, toured Canada and America extensively, growing a sizable audience. I use my wealth of musical experience in inform her work with other musicians in the realms of photography and videography. I have produced visual works for Sarah Jarosz, Molly Tuttle, Jillette Johnson, and more. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree and a Performer’s Certificate from Purchase College, State University of New York where I studied with Julia Lichten and a Master of Music degree from McGill University where I studied with Matt Haimovitz.
