I’m a classically trained guitarist and multi-instrumentalist with a deep love for sound, story, and collaboration. My work spans genres—from classical and jazz to pop, rock, and beyond—and I’ve performed everywhere from orchestra halls to original band tours. I play lead guitar in The Dialogue, record and tour with GS Duo, and run production at Galestro Records. Whether I'm crafting tones in the studio or contributing to a larger musical vision, I bring a sensitive ear, a tech-savvy mind, and a commitment to the soul of the song. I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and am a voting member of the Recording Academy.

I’m a professional singer and songwriter from New York City who’s moved all over the US and Europe, and I’m based in Malaga Spain. I’ve performed, recorded and/or written music with the likes of Ingrid Michaelson, Rachel Platten, Lizzie Grant (Lana Del Rey), The Kin, Gregory Alan Isakov, Lenny Kravitz, Brass Against, Kevin Garrett, and more. My album Other Man was produced by Mike Hedges (U2, The Cure) with help from a team of Grammy winning programmers, mixers, and string arrangers and was released worldwide by Filter Music Group (Milky Chance) in summer 2018. Singles from the album were on radio rotation in Germany, France and Italy, and the official music videos have been viewed nearly 200k time. My vocal performances have also been featured by NYC’s Brass Against and viewed over 1.5 million times. My own compositions focus on vocal flexibility, tone, control, and harmonic support usually on either guitar or piano, and tend to be very soulful. But singing with other groups, I’ve gone from Americana to metal, even singing spot on renditions of Tool with Brass Against. I was classically trained in trumpet by the associate principal player for the Philadelphia Orchestra while I studied music education at Temple University in the early 2000’s. I currently reside in Malaga Spain where I work remotely with producers from NYC and Berlin (where I lived from 2014-2017), and occasional travel Europe to perform live shows either solo or with my band.

Hi! My name is Matt Rifino. I am a 5x EMMY Award Winning Music Mix Engineer. Over the last 25 years I’ve worked with over 1,200 artists mixing 5,000 plus songs. In the end is it really about the gear? Does the end listener care what reverb was used on the vocal? NO! They are listening because they want to feel something. They want to relate to the music. They want to be happy, be sad, smile, cry, scream, fall in love, breakup, jump up and down. My goal is to squeeze the most of those emotions out of every song I mix. First and foremost I'm an avid music listener and live for those moments of connection with the music. My life's mission is to help bring those feelings to as many people as I can. I don't care about gear. I care about the artists, the listeners, and the music. What is your vision for the project and how I can help you achieve it? What kind of energy and emotion do you want share with the world? What do you want the listener to feel? When mixing a song I want to know that so I can help you take the listener to those places. It's your song and I'm here to help translate the sounds in your head into the hearts and minds of the audience. ? I bring that same philosophy to your music for live streaming, concert, and promotional performances airing on the web and television. It's not just another performance. It's your performance. I want to give the same attention and care to the mix that was given to the writing and performing. ? If you are looking for someone to help take your vision over the finish line please reach out and let's talk. Please inquire about my very reasonable rates for independent artists. I am a multi-style cellist, composer, videographer, and photographer originally from New York now based in Nashville, TN. With two classical music degrees under my belt and a wealth of experience improvising and writing my own music, I feel pretty comfortable in most musical settings, especially the Americana genres. When I'm not in the studio, I'm on the road with Country singer-songwriter Brandy Clark pretending that I'm an entire string section with a huge pedal board. I also have my own band called Oliver the Crow (whom NPR called an “inspired collaboration") and a string quartet called the Atwood Quartet. I've got a solo album coming out this fall with all my own compositions (also recorded right in my home!). Besides these current gigs, I've collaborated with trumpeter and composer Frank London of the Klezmatics and North Indian classical music tabla player Shawn Mativetsky. My playing can be heard on albums by bluegrass guitar virtuoso Billy Strings, the Call of Duty video game series, as well as dozens more major motion picture soundtracks and albums. My former folk duo, Bride & Groom, toured Canada and America extensively, growing a sizable audience. I use my wealth of musical experience in inform her work with other musicians in the realms of photography and videography. I have produced visual works for Sarah Jarosz, Molly Tuttle, Jillette Johnson, and more. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree and a Performer’s Certificate from Purchase College, State University of New York where I studied with Julia Lichten and a Master of Music degree from McGill University where I studied with Matt Haimovitz.

Matt Gerhard is a Producer/Engineer/Multi-Instrumentalist based in Austin, TX. Matt is the Co-Owner of Hen House Recording and the Staff Engineer at Public Hi-Fi Studios. Over the past decade I have had the pleasure to work with artists like Spoon, !!!, Tennis, Future Islands, and Knife in The Water. As well as many leading producers including Jim Eno, Joe Chiccarelli, Charlie Sexton, Steve Berlin, Jack Lawrence, and Rick Hart. Q&A Q: Analog or digital and why? A: Most mixing projects lately are a combo of the two. I mix in the box and print outboard gear and effects. Then the mix is printed through my API 8200 summing mixer. I would love to do more all analog tape sessions, because it's a fun and different workflow but realistically the budgets and time constraints are limited. Q: What do you like most about your job? A: Getting to work with all kinds of people and personalities in many different styles of music. I think that really keeps me fresh. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do? A: That mixing and mastering is magic and everything can be fixed. Don't get me wrong a lot can be fixed, but there is no substitute for great source material. The job of mixing and mastering is to enhance the song. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients? A: What direction do you want the mix to go? On a 1-10 scale, 1 being pretty close to the rough mix but a little more polished/hi-fi or 10 pretty unrecognizable from the rough mix? Q: Can you share one music production tip? A: Listen! Be fearless and experiment. Turn that delay all the way up maybe it'll work, maybe it won't? You don't know unless you try. Also don't be afraid to kill your darlings. Q: What type of music do you usually work on? A: All kinds, thats my favorite part of the job Q: What do you bring to a song? A: Fresh ears and a new perspective Q: What's your typical work process? A: For mixing, I try to learn as much about the song as I can. I have a detailed conversation with the artist and try and get an idea of the vision for the song before I start. A rough mix is always helpful I listen to that a couple of times and right down my ideas and notes. Once I feel like I'm at a got place with the mix I'll send it to the artist for notes and then revise based on any notes they have until they're happy with the mix. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you? A: Oh boy, lots of people. I really love people like Tchad Blake and Dave Fridmann who are making wild sounds you've never heard before. As well as folks who came up more in the "documentarian" engineering world. People like Sam Phillips, Tom Dowd, Steve Albini who are trying to capture the performance in the room. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients. A: Mixing, Mastering, Editing.

Hi, I'm a multi-instrumentalist, producer, audio recording, video guy. A new breed you've likely seen on Instagram. Someone who - for whatever reason - is most interested in having their hands in every musical pie. Right now I am interested in mixing. Specifically mixing for people who like my sound - a wide, aggressive, upfront sound that you find with Tchad Blake, Andrew Sarlo, Eric Valentine, and many others. I want to have my cake and eat it too - contemporary mixes that are equal parts technically solid and vibey. Reach out to me if you want to have a conversation about your music career, you need a mix done or you want to help you write, record & mix your own material better. Jesse
